In a statement, Vodafone said that any calls or texts made to Ukraine from 24 February 2022 to 25 March 2022 (inclusive), they will not be charged.
In addition to the concession above, if a Vodafone customer is roaming in Ukraine, their £5 (ex VAT) roaming fee will be waived.
O2 also provided a similar announcement, which read: “O2 is deeply troubled by the events taking place in Ukraine and know that some of you or your loved ones and friends may be directly affected. As the situation continues to unfold, they recognise that connectivity will play a crucial role and they want to provide support to those who need it.
“To help any O2 customers in Ukraine and ensure O2 customers in the UK that need to contact someone in the country can do so, O2 has removed charges for data use in Ukraine and will also credit charges for calls and texts to and from Ukraine and the UK.”
