The 2021 Apple Design Awards winner has earned raves for boosting the accessibility features of Apple’s phones.

This intuitive app uses text-to-speech technology to read text to you, scanning directly from a document or eBook.

For £17.99, purchasing the app unlocks one premium Acapela voice and further support for 36 built-in iOS voices across 27 languages that you can also enjoy for free. In-app purchases allow you to select from more than 200 other premium voices.

In addition to support for PDF, Plain text, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, RTF, Google Docs, ePub eBooks and web articles, Voice Dream Reader also has a built-in scanner for paper document scanning.

It has native support for Dropbox, Google Drive, iCloud Drive, Pocket, Instapaper and Evernote.
